aurie is the only interior redesigner whose work has been featured in New England's Yankee Magazine.
The "How'd They Do That" column in the Nov/Dec 2007 issue featured a redesign Laurie did
in a home in Sudbury, Massachusetts. She has also been interviewed for the Comcast Network's "New England Newsmakers" show on "cool jobs" and has been featured in a consumer report segment of WBZTV’s News, which reported on ways to renovate and redecorate your home for less.

he has been immersed in interior decorating
and home renovation for over 30 years. She and her husband have owned 5 homes during that period,
and she has always done her own wallpapering, painting, window treatments, upholstery, antique
refinishing, and even carpentry. Though professional decorating had to take back stage to other endeavors during the first stage of her career, she knew when the time was right financially she would start her own business in the decorating field.
 aurie has a B.A., and M.A.
in economics from Boston College, and her first career was in the corporate world, where she
acquired transportable talents in business development, business management, marketing, and,
ease in undertaking and directing large projects involving multiple parties from multiple companies.
hen the time finally came for her to do what she loved most, interior decorating,
Laurie augmented her natural talents by receiving her professional training in the decorating field
from one of the country's leading redesign and staging experts, JoAnne Lenart-Weary of Waterford,
PA. Laurie earned
her certification in interior redesign from the international organization Interior Redesign Industry Specialists,
and is a member of One Day Decorating Alumni Association from which she was awarded first place in the
2005 Interior Redesign Challenge in the category of Office Redesign. She has also earned certifications
in redesign and staging from The Society of Decorating Professionals. These industry relationships
provide her with monthly opportunities to learn new techniques and keep up with the latest trends.
aurie is a member of the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce, and one of the founders of a large networking group for women in the home services and real estate industries. Weekly networking meetings with other home services trades has translated to strong working relationships with skilled and reputable trades people, something her clients can count on.
